About the Project
Avant had the honor of transforming the historic Five Points Theater, one of Jacksonville’s most beloved landmarks, into the new FIVE Jacksonville, a state-of-the-art music venue. The extensive renovation revitalized the 13,320-square-foot space, preserving key architectural features while upgrading it for modern performance needs. Our work included creating a balcony extending from the original projection room, remodeling restrooms, adding an ADA lift, and installing two new bars as well as a high-performance light and sound system.

Unique Elements
Built as the Riverside Theatre in 1927 in the heart of the eclectic Five Points neighborhood, the building’s transformation from a cinema to a concert venue continues its legacy of shared experiences and community gathering. During the renovation, the original projection booth was creatively repurposed into a VIP lounge, and we ensured the venue could now host up to 1,250 guests. The reimagined FIVE now stands as both a tribute to its cinematic roots and a new chapter in the city’s live entertainment scene.
