About the Project
This project was the ground-up construction of a new 7,700 SF single-story custom Texas BBQ style restaurant. Avant self-performed the majority of the carpentry and finishes on this project. This building includes a full-service restaurant, a full-service indoor/outdoor bar, a 4,000 SF outdoor “yard” seating and an exposed-frame 2,000 SF smokehouse. The restaurant has become an established local eatery for the Atlantic Beach community and hosts various outdoor music events on the patio.
Unique Elements
This ground-up restaurant build combined exposed-lumber construction with custom smokehouse elements and a 4,000 SF outdoor yard, creating a distinct Texas BBQ experience. Avant overcame tight site constraints, complex underground retention, and self-performed much of the carpentry to deliver a highly customized community hub for dining and events.
