Give-Back Program

Avant Construction Group has been part of the Jacksonville community for almost 20 years. As part of our civic duty and to support the city that we call home, we have created the Community Give-Back Initiative to support, uplift, and help address needs in our Community through giving to local non-profit organizations.

Avant Construction Group is committed to donating a percentage of sales each year to a local organization whose mission is to bring a better quality of life to our residents through channels such as, but not limited to, education, housing, families, and community development.

In addition to donating funds, our team loves to lend a hand. In 2021 we had the honor of renovating the warehouse for the new Delores Barr Weaver Rethreaded Campus of Hope. When the job was done, we partnered with Earthworks Nursery for materials, and our team donated their time to shovel, dig, and plant to make the Rethreaded Meditation Garden a beautiful place of healing and peace.

Since the beginning of the Avant Give-Back Program, we have had the privilege of working with many different organizations throughout Duval County. From event sponsorships to hands-on initiatives, the relationships that we’ve formed while helping these organizations have been a huge blessing to us.

Recipients of the Avant Community Give-Back Program

Mission: Rethreaded is a Jacksonville-based non-profit organization that transforms the lives of human trafficking survivors by providing education, career development, counseling, and a safe, supportive work environment where survivors can earn money while learning a skill and experiencing continued healing through community

Our company had the honor of renovating the warehouse for the new Delores Barr Weaver Rethreaded Campus of Hope. Since then, we have been an annual sponsor of the Rethreaded Mukti Ball, raising funds to provide much-needed services for survivors of human trafficking.

Mission: Improve the lives of children and families.

Avant supported the organization by donating time and materials to patch, paint, and repair seven of the dorms that are used as residents for homeless teens as part of their Project Prepare program.

Mission: To recruit, train, support and supervise volunteers, also known as court appointed special advocates, to speak for the best interests of children who have been abused, neglected or abandoned.

Avant matched the funds for a private fundraiser that was able to provide $10,000 to the GAL Empowerment Scholarship program, providing funds for young adults who have aged our of the foster care system and are pursuing continuing education.

Mission: Develop the potential of women through education and charity and improve communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.

Avant’s financial donation helped to feed the 100s of people who are fed each month, through their Fresh Minds program.

Mission: To empower young women to be grounded spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially through mentorship and education.

Avant donated much-needed funds to help them forward their organization. In addition, one of our team members donated his time and expertise by presenting a financial skills workshop for the young women.

Mission: Raising funds to provide affordable housing in Jacksonville.

Avant is an annual sponsor for the JWB Cares annual golf tournament, helping to raise funds to build a home for a veteran and his family.

Mission: To discover and foster each student’s unique abilities revealing their highest potential within an engaged community.

For two years in a row, we sponsored and participated in the NFSSE annual Berry Good Farm’s Weekend on the Farm Festival. As one of our team members has special-needs child who attends this school. Our sponsorship is our way of supporting the community, while also partnering with our Avant-family member and supporting his family.

Mission: Ending hunger and illiteracy for local children.

Avant donated $5000 and had over 30 team members spend a Saturday morning packing over 11k meals for food insecure students in Duval County.

Mission: A specialized, independent school dedicated to the education of children in 1st-8th grades with dyslexia and related language-based learning difficulties, with the primary goal of enabling these students to achieve academic and personal success.

After building DePaul’s new campus, Avant was so moved by its mission and impact on students in our community, we donated over $20k back to the school.

Mission: Bringing people together to empower families to build better futures through homeownership.

The Hero Build program provides Jacksonville veterans the opportunity to own a quality, affordable home.

With almost 10% of our team retired military, we were eager to come along Habijax and support this initiative by donated a full-time superintendent on location to complete two of the houses.

When the houses were completed, our team spent a Saturday on the final touches, bringing in plants and planter boxes to make the house an even more special home for a veteran and their family to come home to.

Giving is wonderful. Being able to play and giving is even better! Through the Give-Back Program, Avant has been able to assist in the fundraising goals of several organizations through team member participation and tournament sponsorships. These include City Rescue Mission, Junior Achievement, and JWB Cares, to name a few.
